I am still a director of the Chamber of Commerce

Mitigation

I have stepped down from the presidency of the Chamber of Commerce. I have been removed from all group chats and all email traffic. I do not attend any Chamber of Commerce meetings.

I do attend events that the Chamber of Commerce CEO believes have no conflict and rely on the Chamber CEO and the Chamber conflicts process to determine that.

Since implementation of these mitigants, I have only undertaken 1 Chamber event, where I presented my view on the Guernsey economy to a group of visiting students from Renn.

Should I be elected, I would immediately resign as a Director or earlier, should I be requested to do so by the Chamber.

My wife (form whom I am separated and working through a divorce) is a sitting Deputy

I restrict all discussion with my wife to co-parenting discussions about our children and progression of the divorce.

We do not regularly discuss political points but are more than capable of doing so.

Should it be needed we would both recognize our existing relationship and any potential conflicts. I would update this website with those live conflicts.

I own 1 primary residence on Braye Road (Vale).

I have investments in metals and stock market holdings.

I have no investments (debt or equity) in any Guernsey businesses at this time.

I have one child in the Education system and one about to enter higher education

One of my children is currently studying A levels and the other is in a gap year prior to taking a university place in the next educational year.

I will follow all established government processes related to my children.

I have a significant business network

POTENTIAL

Mitigation

As a prior Chamber of Commerce President and being part of the team that founded the G8 business lobby, I have significant contact with the islands business leaders.

I will follow all required procedures for disclosure within government and recuse myself from any discussions that would personally benefit myself should that be necessary.
